7.30 - Staff arrive, radios turned on. Dogs are let out individually into exercise areas whilst kennel is cleaned. Water changed and the bedding is refreshed or changed. Cat pens are cleaned, litter changed, food bowls removed and bedding refreshed.
8.30 - Feeds prepared for dogs and served. Cats feeds are prepared and served. Fresh water given to cats. Medication given to any pets that are prescribed.
9.00 - Corridors mopped and mop cleaned. mop buckets recharged with Safe4. Drainage channel swept and any solids (food, hair etc) removed from drainage trap. Cattery floor mopped and mop bucket refreshed. Empty bowls collected from kennels. Prepare kennels and pens for new arrivals. Pick up waste from exercise areas and dispose of. Change water from shovel buckets and add bleach.
9.30 - Washing-up bowls, litter trays cleaned and stored and fleeces that require cleaning put in wash.
9.50 - Tea break.
10.00 - Exercising time. Dogs exercised individually or in family groups. Quality time spent playing with dogs. Those that do not play will want cuddling and stroking. Cats cuddles and stroking in cattery. The most important service that we provide is mental and physical stimulation whilst pets are with us. They are not left in kennels & runs on their own for long periods.
12.30 - Lunch (for those that require it).
1.00 - Kennel maintenance.
3.30 - Exercise begins again. Cats cuddles and food top up. Remove any soiling from litter tray.
6.00 - Evening feeds prepared and served.
6.30- Staff finish.
8.30 - Dogs let out individually for evening wee's & poo's (kennels then remain clean), check water and remove empty feed dishes. Biscuits given and radios turned off. Check cats food and top up. Replenish water. Pick up waste from exercise areas and dispose of.
9.30 - Finish.
